The watch brand Vulcain is named after the roman god of fire; who lends his name to volcanoes. This vulcain watch therefore had to have some reference to fire and volcanoes. The choice here is to contrast the heat and lifelessness of a volcanic environment, with the cool of ice and the dark green of verdant life that eventually comes from the minerals in volcanic soil (represented by the dragon striding across the lava flows)
